Airport Eberswalde-Finow

The airport Eberswalde-Finow, a former military airfield north of Berlin, is wholly owned and operated by TOWER FINOW GMBH i.L., a 100% subsidiary of WVZ Wirtschafts-Verkehrs-Zentrum Finow GmbH & Co.KG i.L., a group of private entrepreneurs.
As operating company we provide all services like tower operation, handling, fuelling, rental of hangar space, etc.

The lasting increase in movements as well as in passengers and cargo figures of about 12% per year lead to over 12.000 movements with almost 20.000 passengers last year (2008). The commercial traffic dominates the airports profile with about 60% of all movements.
The airport shall be upgraded to a regional airport for scheduled traffic with a maximum take off mass (MTOM) of 85 tons to serve any destinations within European distances. After concluding the regional planning procedure, the planning approval process started in Juli 2008.
In the mean time several aviation companies and flying clubs have established their base in Eberswalde-Finow, i.e.:
